I felt that RPP was always welcoming my freshman year and since then I have met such wonderful brothers that have supported and motivated me to keep improving into a better self. Being apart of RPP has also opened up so many opportunities, allowing me to grow vastly in such a short amount of time. RPP is a genuine and loving community, and has become my second family away from home! Everyone seemed to put in so much effort to support and uplift one another. The brothers have always been there for me, guiding me and opening up new opportunities. Through RPP, I become a better version of myself! Year: Sophomore, 2+3 Class: Bromine Family Line: BA Why did you join RPP?: I initially joined Rho Pi Phi to grow professionally as a future pharmacist. Little did I know, I would be finding my home away from home!! RPP has pushed me to take on challenges I was hesitant to pursue before, such as leadership positions, job opportunities, and even outreach to older students and alumni. I also admired the genuine care and kindness the brothers constantly displayed both within and outside of the fraternity. Looking back at myself, when I was just a freshman undergrad, RPP had immensely helped me grow professionally as a leader and a future pharmacist. I’m super grateful for RPP for providing opportunities to branch of my comfort zone and pushing me to go for the things that I would have never thought of achieving! Year: Sophomore, 2+3 Class: Bromine Family Line: Amoxichillin Why did you join RPP?: i joined RPP because the morals of our fraternity heavily matched my own in terms of professionalism, brotherhood, and community. I love that we are passionate about being leaders in pharmacy, taking initiative to host events for both local and international communities, all while propelling ourselves forward within academic pursuits. Beyond gaining professional experience, RPP has allowed me to meet some of the most wonderful people that I am proud to call my bros. To me, RPP stands out as being one of the most welcoming and genuine communities on campus. When I first experienced the love and support that this brotherhood brings, I knew that this was an environment that I wanted to thrive in and contribute to. I am so thankful for all the bonds I have built with my bros and am looking forward to how we will continue to grow in this upcoming year! Year: P2 Class: Selenium Family Line: Swack Why did you join RPP?: I originally joined RPP because I wanted to surround myself with an organization that strives to become better leaders in pharmacy by helping different communities through outreach programs. In doing so, I got to meet a variety of different people that I would not have met otherwise who I now call my best friends. The RPP community is what drew me in and helped me connect with other pharmacists, brothers, faculty, and patients who all encouraged me become a better role model for others. Once I was in the fraternity, I knew I was going to grow into a more diverse and well-rounded person by learning and being in a supportive environment that fosters creativity and initiation. When I attended RPP’s first pre-recruitment, I felt nervous, shy, and scared, not knowing what to expect; but to my pleasant surprise, talking with the brothers came so naturally to me and I didn’t have to worry about being judged or putting up a front. Year: P2 Class: Germanium Family: SFF What drew you into RPP?: Rho Pi Phi made me feel like I had a place on campus to call home the very moment I stepped foot into my first recruitment event. Living off campus during undergrad made it really hard being in Stockton but the brothers welcomed me with open arms and guided me through pharmacy school. They opened doors for me to new opportunities and experiences for professionalism and forming new relationships and I am forever grateful. I got to where I am today because of Rho Pi Phi, so words could never fully express my love and gratitude for this fraternity, but thank you, 100 times over. 💙💙 Involvements: VNCARES, OD, Medicare/VMRC, Research Fun Fact #1: I lose my car a lot, but it’s somewhere at undergrad, TJL, or my apartment complex, I think. On top of that, I came from out of town and did not have any friends going into UOP. When I went to my first RPP pre-recruitment event, every single brother that I met was very welcoming and I felt like myself there. RPP was then like my "home away from home". On top of that, this fraternity has pushed me both academically and professionally as a pre-pharmacy student. Therefore, RPP to me are more than just brothers in a fraternity, but lifelong friends. With freshman year being online, it was hard making connections, and all the brothers of RPP were so welcoming and they really tried to get to know me. They pushed me socially and academically, and I will be forever grateful for the impact the brothers had on me. Fun Fact #1: I have 5000 wins in Word Hunt 🏆. Year: P1 Class: Germanium Family: FDA Why did you join RPP?: I joined Rho Pi Phi because I saw how motivated and studious the brothers were. As someone who is very goal-oriented and studious, I knew from the moment I met these brothers I wanted to join RPP. During the recruitment season, I found myself really comfortable with every brother I talked to. Without Rho Pi Phi, I probably wouldn’t have been given so many opportunities, gained so many mentors, and had found a group of people who have supported me during my lowest points. Involvements: PPFC, OH, OI, PAA (Alumni House) Fun Fact #1: I have a dog with anger issues. Fun Fact #2: I’m a painter. Fun Fact #3: I can sleep for 15+ hours if I didn’t have an alarm. |

#DiscovertheBrother Year: P1 Class: Arsenic Family: FDA Why did you join RPP?: With school being online for half of my freshman year and all of sophomore year, I felt like I didn’t have much of an opportunity to socialize and make new friends. I’m so grateful for RPP’s pre-recruitment events and other social events because they allowed me to do exactly that. After the first pre-recruitment event, I felt so happy because I got to meet and talk to the most genuine people (who I now call my brothers). In the short time I’ve been a part of the fraternity, I have grown so much as a person because of everyone’s love and support. I feel so lucky to be able to surround myself with such kind-hearted individuals. Involvements: IPSF Fun Fact #1: I have a YouTube channel. Fun Fact #2: I used to own a dozen chickens. They make me feel at home but also push me to grow as a person and as a future pharmacist. They are my friends, brothers, and role-models. This week, we are featuring Amy Nguyen!
#DiscoverTheBrother Year: Sophomore, 2+3 prepharm Class: Germanium Family: SFF Why did you join RPP?: I lived off campus my freshman year and wasn’t able to meet a lot of people my first semester, so it was pretty rough. Going to RPP events made me so happy to meet so many genuine, kind-hearted, and well-rounded people all in one room. Joining RPP has pushed me to do things I wouldn’t have ever imagined myself doing, and all the brothers have provided me with an incredible amount of guidance in the short time I’ve gotten to know them (and spend with them T^T please social distance). Despite everything online, nothing’s really changed and with all the fun things we do together remotely – I wouldn’t have it any other way. Fun Fact#1: I’m allergic to avocado Fun Fact#2: I sometimes do TikTok dances without even realizing it when I’m studying, so yes my TikTok screen time is almost 4-6 hours a day. Fun Fact#3: I don’t play games a lot, but if I do, I’m playing Terraria or Minecraft with Edric, another brother of Rho Pi Phi, for at least 7 hours straight. |

I feel like I’ve grown so much since joining and I have to thank all of the brothers for their constant support. Spending time and talking with my bros has always been the highlights of my week especially when school can be stressful at times. #DiscoverTheBrother Year: P2 Class: Copper Family: SFF Why did you join RPP?: I initially joined RPP for a home away from home, but I found so much more. Through RPP, I have gained mentors, role models, and brothers for life. When I look back on my undergrad years, I can easily say joining RPP was the best decision I made because the brothers have instilled confidence in me and helped me achieve goals that I never thought were possible. RPP has shown up in all parts of my life, from my first job to my first conference, and I hope it continues to do so in the years to come. Involvements: IPhO, OI, CAPSLEAD, PLS, Rho Chi, iCOR Fun Fact #1: I love talking about MBTI and enneagrams with anyone and everyone (proud ESTJ and enneagram 3). I was drawn by how close-knit everybody seemed to be, and I came to really enjoy getting to know and spend time with my bros. Getting to know everyone over the past year has been quite the adventure with COVID and Zoom getting in the way, but I am grateful for the experiences and memories we managed to pull through. RPP is a place where you can find people and opportunities that not only speak to you but help you to grow in ways you might not have expected. Fun Fact #1: I can’t sweat. Year: P1 Class: Germanium Family: Duckyi Why did you join RPP?: For most of undergrad, I kept in my own bubble and felt like I couldn’t be social. In my last year of undergrad, I really wanted to become more involved and push myself do more. I am so glad that I committed to joining RPP because all of the people are so kind and I already feel like I have grown a lot since joining. Involvements: VNCARES, POYSE Fun Fact #1: I can write fluidly upside down. Fun Fact #2: I taught myself to play “Old McDonald Had a Farm” on the recorder, without any notes or aid, in the 4th grade. Fun Fact #3: I used to have a Youtube channel where I played Minecraft. That channel amassed 100,000+ views. |

Everyone here is so nice and welcoming and they have helped me grow as a person and as a future pharmacist. RPP has given me many opportunities to gain connections and make life long friendships that I wouldn’t change for the world. I felt confident to go out of my comfort zone and be as involved as I am today because of the people who got me into this fraternity. I never felt the need to put on a facade because I knew they would accept me for the person I am, and to me, that’s such a priceless quality to have. Year: P2 Class: Gallium Family: Amoxichillin Why did you join RPP?: The brothers were what initially drew me in because you will never find a group as reliable as them. I’ve made unexpected forever friends who inspire me and who probably know me more than I know myself. RPP quickly became a home to me when I joined, but it also turned out to be a place for me to grow. Without a doubt, I owe a lot to the brothers and to the opportunities that this fraternity has given me because I would not be who or where I am without them. This is the place where I learned to be a wild dreamer, a trustworthy friend, a honest leader, and a better future pharmacist. #DiscoverTheBrother Year: Sophomore, 3+3 pre-pharm Class: Germanium Family: FDA Why did you join RPP?: After going to different recruitment events, I almost immediately knew RPP was the fraternity I wanted to be a part of. There were so many brothers I was able to relate to, and all of them were really helpful when I had questions about school. It was crazy to think how friendly and passionate about pharmacy everyone was. Over time, I learned more about RPP as a fraternity itself and I really liked how everyone in this chapter has a leadership role. Even as a new brother of RPP, I was given the opportunity to be on executive board! Despite being a newer brother, I have received overwhelming love and support from the brothers and endless opportunities from this fraternity, and for that, I am forever grateful I joined RPP 😊 Involvements: Pacific Volunteer Center (CCI), General Academic Tutoring Center, Pacific Alumni Association, VSA Fun Fact#1: When I get stressed about school, I tend to stay up late at night playing games instead of studying. I never imagined I’d find something that was as important to me as this fraternity. RPP made a huge difference in my life, and I won’t ever regret my decision to join! From my first RPP event till now, I was always motivated to be the best version of myself and to always be my authentic self.
